Our first full day in Prague was busy. We did everything tourist-oriented we could think of and, lucky for us, we were close enough to finish up early before dinner!
Our first stop was the Church of our Lady Victorious. This is where the Child of Prague is, and the inside of the church is incredible. My photos are buried in my study abroad album, but I highly recommend going and seeing it for yourself. Photos truly do not do it justice.
Next stop: John Lennon Wall. Perfect photo op, and there was a man playing Beatles favorites while we were there!
Lunch was incredible. Czech food is really great, above is potato soup in a bread bowl, and below is a sharing dish of duck, sausages, bread, potato, and short ribs.
The waiters gave each girl a rose as we left!
Finally, our night came. With it…the IcePub.
Included in admission is a thermal jacket, gloves, and a drink. Either an ice cold Heineken or an Absolut cocktail. I chose the bitter Absolut cocktail and one of my friends chose the sweet. We both agreed that we would rather have the Heineken, but it was a great experience to walk around the tiny bar with a transparent ice glass!
Then we checked our coats and made our way into the “Largest Club in Central Europe.”
This may or may not be true, but it is huge. It has five floors of different types of music, and was so much fun! Mind the gogo dancers, and expect some fancy dress. We ran into Beetlejuice!
Prague is a colorful and lively city, but like any city, be very careful at night! We were in a group and within walking distance of our AirBnB, but you may not be. Be safe, have fun, and always remember: a (registered) cab is better than being taken.
