Okay. Do you have a drink? A blanket? A comfortable place to sit? Because this is gonna be a long one.
I have not posted in a while, but I swear I have a great excuse! FAMILY VISITS!
Caravan King’s Cross for brunch was incredible.
My dish, the coconut bread with lemon curd and rhubarb, was delicious. However, it was more of a dessert than a breakfast! With a coffee and a side of bacon it cuts the sweetness, but if you are not in the mood for a little sugar rush I wouldn’t recommend it. But if, like me, you love sweet, this is the dish for you!
I had to take my mom and sister into Harrods, and we were all in awe of the adorable Easter treats from the food halls! Those white chocolate lambs were too much.
Ah, the love affair with Franco Manca continues. We ordered two number twos and it was just enough for the three of us.
One morning we had a bit of a late start, so instead of breakfast (which the St. Pancras stops serving at 11) we opted for coffee/tea and a little of their Easter carrot cake.
Afternoon tea down the Thames was the perfect way to begin our sightseeing! Parliament and Westminster Abbey are ultra close to Embankment pier, so we started our morning there and then headed over to the boat after.
Gordon’s Wine Bar is too close to Embankment to miss out. We stopped in for a treat of wine (red Fat Bastard) and cheese (brie and mature cheddar).
Of course, the London Eye was a must go!
And after so long, my sister and I had our first night out together! I won’t be legal in the states for another five months, so this was definitely special.
Finally, our Easter at Christopher’s in Covent Garden. We had mass at Corpus Christi down the road a ways, and this was a wonderful way to end their visit.
My avocado toast with walnut pesto and tomatoes. I also had a latte, and their morning chocolate shot which was peanut butter, cacao, and almond milk!
Dessert. A HUGE chocolate brownie with incredible dark chocolate sauce to drizzle all over the top.
I hope everyone has been as good as I have. Family really does make everything better! (and the sun London is basking in certainly helps)
