City Days

Sometimes fate shines down on you and you win concert tickets at the end of a really hard week. Luckily for me, that happened to Jack! He won tickets to see the Chainsmokers, and we met in the city for a fun day off together before their insane show that evening.

First stop: the Lincoln Park Zoo! Not a lot of animals were outside because it was a very chilly day, but we made do and saw what we could. The zoo was still so much fun because there were barely any other visitors, so we could get up close to the exhibits.

It was a very windy day!

I couldn’t resist a selfie in the sun, but Jack was a little less enthused…so to cheer him up, we headed out of the cold and over to Beermiscuous!

These twelve beer options change, so if you see one you like get over there and try it ASAP! Jack and did 4 ounces of the 2, 5, 7, 9, and 11, and the #2 was my favorite. It had lemongrass and chamomile in it and I could drink it all day long, it was like a fizzy, alcoholic iced tea.

Beermiscuous doesn’t serve food, but they allow you to bring in anything you want! If you’re craving a sandwich, a pizza, or a steak, bring it and and have your favorite food with a new type of beer.

We were starving after our outing, and went to Union Sushi where I was much too hungry to take any photos, but trust me…it’s delicious.

As much as I wish I had my phone out for the concert, I didn’t take any pictures. I think I took one snapchat video but was too engrossed to do much else! The Chainsmokers were incredible, and Matoma opened for them, making the evening even better. What was crazy was that they sampled Blink 182, twenty one pilots, and Wheatus.

Have you gotten lucky for a fun day off recently? How have you been de-stressing this fall?
